All our professionals at Hudsonville Family Dentistry maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in dentistry.

I grew up in the Holland area and graduated from Holland Christian High School in 1990. I then attended Calvin College where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in 1994. I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2001 from Case Western Reserve University, School of Dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio. I first practiced dentistry in the Grandvlle area with another dentist and then decided to start my own practice in 2005 in the Jenison/Hudsonville area. In 2008, I joined my practice with Dr. Lynda Mackus and had to move into a new building in 2009 due to the growth we experienced. My family consists of my wife, Shelly and three boys; Nicholas, Cameron and Andrew. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and enjoy many outdoor activities. We also live and attend church in the area.

Dr. Mackus is retiring!   Please welcome Dr. Daniel Grode to Hudsonville Family Dentistry

“When one door closes another door opens”… With that said, we have taken great effort to find someone who can uphold the high quality of service that Dr. Mackus’s patients have appreciated for over 34 years.  We feel that we have been very fortunate to find just the right dentist to step in and, along with Dr. Matthew Lubbers, continue to provide you with the very best in dental care – Dr. Grode even comes to us with the “Dr. Mackus Stamp of Approval”, (which you all know says a great deal about him right there ).

Please help us in welcoming Dr. Daniel Grode as the newest member of the Hudsonville Family Dentistry Team!  Dr. Grode comes to us with his Bachelors of Science in Human Biology from Michigan State University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.  He is originally from the east side of the state, but while visiting his girlfriend here at Grand Valley, as she pursues her goal of becoming a Physicians Assistant, he fell in love with the area and just knew that he wanted to settle here.   During his free time he is very active and loves sports, going to the beach, and playing with his new puppy.   He is really looking forward to meeting all of our great patients and to continuing the Hudsonville Family Dentistry tradition of quality care and excellent service.  Dr. Mackus, Dr. Lubbers, & Dr. Grode are all working together to ensure a smooth transition for everyone.  We want you all to know that both Dr. Lubbers & Dr. Grode will be available to you for your patient care, you are welcome to choose either Doctor or both as your primary dentist with Hudsonville Family Dentistry.
